My all-time favorite is Jane Eyre. It was such an inspiring story. I also love any book by Sue Grafton, she taught me so much about characterization, and developing strong characters. I love The Operative, by my dad, lol. (Of course I must mention at least one of my dad's books!)

I just read Twilight the other day and I loved it, despite the fact I thought the plot was used a lot.

Anything and everything by Isabel Allende. That woman is seriously a goddess and I worship her from the bottom of my soul. (And, if anyone ever plans on taking the AP Lit test, read The House of the Spirits because it applies to EVERY open ended question.)

Welll..
A collection of books by random Australian authors no ones heard of. A not-so-well-known supernatural series by Anthony Horowitz Harry Potter Lord of the Rings A Song of Ice and Fire Chronicals of Narnia
...I'm not sure. I enjoy most books I read unless they're dead boring and take about 10 years to read (I nearly gave up on reading LOTR..I know it's a masterpeice, but still..soo very long) XD

My all-time favourite book is A TREE GROWS IN BROOKLYN by Betty Smith. It was written so beautifully, I got a sense of beauty and happiness even in the depressing streets of Brooklyn.
Other than that, the Harry Potter series is fantastic ! And those 'childish' classics, A Secret Garden and A Little Princess, both by Frances Hodgens Burnett(e?).
